27th Annual Hershel Walker "Peace and Justice" Awards Breakfast
Saturday, May 25 at 9:30-11:30 am, STL Workers' Education Society, 2929 S. Jefferson
Historian Rosemary Feurer, author of "Radical Unionism in the Mid-West, 1900-1950," will be our keynote. The awardees this year are: Michael Yates, retired business rep., International Union of Operating Engineers' Local 148; MOWIT (Missouri Women In Trades); and Cori Bush, Congressional Candidate and #BLM activist. Come for the Breakfast, the presentation, the awards and the exhibit! Tickets are $25 at the door, though no one will be turned away due to a lack of funds. Tables of 10 are $200. Facebook Invite

Benton Park Historic Neighborhood Tour
Sunday, May 26 at 2-5 pm, Benton Park Pavillion
St. Louis History and Architecture is hosting a historic walking tour of the Benton Park neighborhood. The tour will start in Benton Park at the corner of Arsenal Street and Illinois Ave, and will showcase the historic architecture of the neighborhood, dating from 1848 through the 1920s. The neighborhood is filled with the stories of a variety of people from beer barons to Icarian French settlers to Frontiersmen, and showcases a wide variety of architecture from different periods of history. Tickets are $15, and include a 2 hour tour which spans the whole neighborhood. Facebook Invite
FREE Chess Lessons
Tuesday, May 28 at 5-7 pm, Apotheosis Comics & Lounge, 3206 S. Grand
In partnership with the Saint Louis Chess Club we're offering free chess lessons every Tuesday night from 5-7 pm. All experience levels are welcome! Test your skills every last Sunday of the month for a 3 round G/20 tournament from 1 to 4 pm; $10 entry fee. Cash prize for winner if 6 or more players compete. Facebook Invite
Movie in Fox Park: Aquaman
Saturday, June 1 at 7:30-11 pm, Fox Park
AQUAMAN Spend the evening under the stars with your neighbors watching Aquaman. Everyone is welcome! Bring your own chairs & blankets, food and refreshments. Movie will start at dusk, approximately 8:15 pm. Fox Park T-shirts, koozies, and stickers will be available for purchase. We'll have free popcorn and music before the movie starts.
