Ever wonder what was there before the Jefferson Community Bank?

The Jefferson Savings and Loan Association which started in 1927 purchased 3341, 3347, and 3353 California for a new bank and parking lot. The mid-Century modern building was completed in 1960.

The City of St. Louis' Land Reutilization Authority controlled the former bank and parking lot. In April 2005, the Gravois Park Block Link Association assumed ownership of the property. Gravois Park currently holds their neighborhood meeting in the building on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
