Soviet Era Holiday Animations
Friday, December 21 at 7-9:30 pm, Flood Plain Gallery, 3151 Cherokee
Despite the Soviet Union as the ideological opposite of the Western way of life and mindset, Soviet animation, in theme, style, message, and proficiency of talent, was similar to their US counterpart, Disney. Come experience holiday tidings of warmth and good cheer from behind the Iron Curtain that transcend our cultural differences. All ages. Doors at 7, films at 7:30 pm. Holiday Caroling
Saturday, December 22 at 11:15 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac
And a caroling we go! Bring your friends and family–an instrument if you have one–and meet us at the bandstand. Dress warmly, this event will go on no matter the weather. Everyone is welcome! Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour
Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac
Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Free Suzuki Parent Information Night
Thursday, December 27 at 6:30-8 pm, Fox Park Music Studio, 2839 Russell
The Suzuki Method is based on the belief that Every Child Can learn an instrument to the best of his or her ability. The method has four main components: training the ear with daily listening, parental involvement with one parent becoming the home teacher, building technique through repertoire, and emphasizing a beautiful tone from day one. Parents of children ages 2 and up are welcome to attend this free parent event in order to learn more about the method and if it would be a good fit for their family. Roosevelt High Clean Up
Sunday, December 30 at 11 am -2 pm, Roosevelt High School, 3230 Hartford
Discarded waste is a serious problem. Littering the curb, sidewalks and alleyways of our city~trash can be found everywhere when you just stop and look around. Be a part of what happens when a community comes together to be the change! Join us Sunday December 30th at Roosevelt High School erase the trace in this city that we love 💚 Gloves, bags and lunch will be provided.
