22nd Annual SLACO Regional Conference

Saturday Morning Kids' Art Class
Saturdays from 10-11:30 am, Messiah Community Center, 2801 Magnolia
In this weekly arts program young people ages 7-13 will learn various art techniques from across the world. Teaching artists from Yeyo Arts Collective will guide students through multiple medias including but not limited to collage, painting and sculpture! Rise & Scream, Fundraiser for International Institute
Saturday, April 14 from 5 pm-12 am, 2720, 2720 Cherokee
Rise & Scream is a fundraiser for the International Institute of St. Louis. The fundraiser is a night of entertainment bringing people together with a large group of local creative artists. All proceeds will be donated to the International Institute of St. Louis. The purpose of the International Institute is to be the St. Louis region’s welcoming center for refugees and immigrants. This year the Institute resettled more than 1,000 refugees from Syria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Iraq, and many other countries, all of whom had endured trauma and hardship and must now begin again. Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour
Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac
Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.
Laughter Club
Tuesdays from 6-7 pm, Thomas Dunn Learning Center, 3113 Gasconade

Cherokee Station Business Association Meeting

CSBA meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm and covers events, updates and information regarding Cherokee Street, Cherokee Station Special Business District and Cherokee Street Development League. All business owners, residents, property owners, and anyone with an interest in Cherokee Street are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Earth Day is Sunday, April 22 and Benton Park West is doing its part. Saturday, April 21 residents are encourage to participate in cleaning up their alleys and litter along sidewalks and common ways. We will have a dumpster for bulk items at Our Neighborhood Garden, 2800 Wyoming (at California). Invite your neighbors and make it a block effort! You might consider hosting a group in your area and hit multiple alleys. Get to know your neighbors or catch up with old friends while we improve our neighborhood.
