Nimble Arts: Intro to Teaching Aerials
Thursday, July 13 - Monday, July 17 from 9:00 am - 4 :00 pm, Bumbershoot Aerial Arts, 2200 Gravois
This 34-hour introduction to teaching skill progressions for beginning tricks on trapeze and aerial fabric also includes segments on learning styles, spotting techniques, injury prevention, basic rigging concepts, equipment maintenance, and class management skills. Open to anyone age 16+ who is interested in learning to teach children and adults at summer camps, schools, gymnastics programs, or circus schools. Pitfalls of Payday Lending & Other Predatory Companies
Saturday, July 15 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, South City Excel Center, 2828 Gravois
This class will discuss the actual cost of payday lending and the effects it has on the consumer, and discuss the predatory lending laws and current events. The class will focus on the different types of predatory lenders and how they actually work. Lastly, it will provide the participants with alternatives to predatory lending and companies. Monthly Local Saxophonist Showcase #7 Featuring Kendrick Smith

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.
Cointelpro Think Tank

Join the Black Tax Collective and the People's Pan Afrikan Movement as we celebrate the birthday of Assata Shakur by having a Think Tank centered around Cointelpro (Counter Intelligence Program). The Think Tank will include hands on workshops that point out tactics of cointelpro from 50 years ago and how the tactics still impact us today. BPW Litter Clean Up and Social Hour

Help beautify our neighborhood and meet your neighbors! Each month we will be cleaning up a different area of our neighborhood. These clean up days will be the Saturday's following the BPW neighborhood meeting. Trash bags will be provided from Operation Bright Side. Feel free to bring gloves or anything else as needed.
