After the Party: Photos from Easter Eggstravaganza
Saturday was a bright sunny day to celebrate Easter. Benton Park West Neighborhood Association hosted its 11th annual Easter Eggstravaganza in Gravois Park.
A "thank you" to Eric Bothe of Gravois Park for making the signs, taking this photo, and helping to promote the event!
A special thank you to Pam Welsh, Youth Chair for BPWNA, for organizing the event each year.
All photos below were taken by Daniel Petty of Gravois Park. Thank you Daniel for the photos!
People gathered at 10 am for the official egg hunt and variety of activities for children.
The egg hunt stretched throughout the park.
The Mounted Police were on hand and kids could pet the horse.
Long time Benton Park West residents, Michael and Christina Sullivian helped kids dye eggs.
Kids also had the oppotunity to get temporary tattoos.
The Easter Bunny stopped by to give away chocolates to kids.
You could also get your picture taken with him. The Police Explorers are featured with him in this photo.
Fun was had by all and special Easter memories were made for many children.
Lastly and most importantly, thank you to the St. Louis Police Explorers, the St. Louis Mounted Police, Alderpersons Ken Ortmann and Cara Spencer, and all the volunteers who made this event possible. See you all next year and Happy Easter!
